Florence, Italy

This enchanting medieval bridge, lined with jewelry shops tucked into its arches, offers one of Florence's most iconic views across the Arno River. Built in 1345 with distinctive closed-spandrel arches, it miraculously survived World War II bombing while every other bridge in the city was destroyed. Today it captures the romance of Renaissance Florence with its bustling goldsmith tradition dating back centuries.
