EUR District

EUR (Esposizione Universale Roma) is a modernist planned district south of Rome's historic center, originally conceived for a 1942 World's Fair that never took place due to World War II. The neighborhood showcases striking Fascist-era architecture with wide avenues, symmetrical buildings, and monumental sculptures that reflect early 20th-century urban design ambitions. Today it serves as a vibrant cultural hub featuring museums, restaurants, and contemporary art galleries alongside its architectural heritage.
